My Tasks
The My Tasks dashboard gives you a personal view of every task assigned to you across the project. Rather than hunting through the full task list, My Tasks surfaces your work in one place, organised by priority so you know exactly what to work on next.
Opening My Tasks
Click the task notification icon in the top-right header bar. This takes you directly to your My Tasks dashboard.
Sections
Your tasks are automatically sorted into six sections based on their status, due date, and dependencies. Each section is collapsible — click the section title or the chevron icon to expand or collapse it.
| Section | What appears here |
|---|---|
| Focus Now | Tasks you have manually pinned for immediate attention |
| Overdue | Tasks past their due date (hidden when empty) |
| Blocked | Tasks blocked by an incomplete dependency (hidden when empty) |
| In Progress | Tasks with a status of In Progress |
| To Do | Tasks with a status of To Do |
| Backlog | Tasks with a status of Backlog |
The Overdue and Blocked sections only appear when they contain tasks. They disappear automatically when all tasks in them are resolved.
Task Cards
Each task is shown as a card displaying:
- Reference number and task name
- Status badge (e.g. In Progress, To Do)
- Progress bar showing percentage complete
- Due date — shown in amber if due within 7 days, red if overdue
- Staleness indicator — shown in amber if not updated in over 7 days, red if over 14 days
- Area, Release, and Project Increment tags
- Blocked by — tasks that must be completed before this one can proceed
- Blocks — tasks that are waiting on this one
If you have editor access, a pencil icon appears on each card letting you open the full task editor directly from the dashboard.
Quick Actions
Hover over a card to reveal quick action buttons:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| ✓ Mark complete | Immediately marks the task as Done |
| nn% | Opens the inline progress editor |
| ★ Focus Now | Pins the task to the Focus Now section |
| ⭐ Remove focus | Removes the task from Focus Now (shown when already pinned) |
Updating Progress
Click the progress bar on any card (or the nn% quick action button) to open the inline progress editor. From here you can:
- Drag the slider to set a percentage between 0% and 100%
- Optionally add a note to record what was done
- Click Save to confirm, or Cancel to discard
Focus Now
Use Focus Now to pin up to five tasks that need your immediate attention. Pinned tasks float to the top of the dashboard, above everything else, regardless of their status.
To pin a task:
- Hover over the card and click the ★ star icon, or
- Drag the card into the Focus Now section
To unpin a task:
- Hover over the card and click the ⭐ half-star icon, or
- Drag the card out of the Focus Now section into another section
If you pin more than five tasks, a warning will appear. Focus Now works best when kept small — too many pinned tasks defeats the purpose of prioritising.
Drag and Drop
Cards can be dragged to reorganise your work:
- Reorder within a section — drag a card up or down within the same section to set your preferred order. The order is saved and persists between sessions.
- Move between sections — drag a card into a different section to change its status. For example, dragging a card from To Do into In Progress updates the task status to In Progress automatically.
- Pin to Focus Now — drag any card into the Focus Now section to pin it.
Overdue tasks cannot be dragged to a new section — their position is determined by their due date.
Filtering
The toolbar at the top of the page provides filters to narrow your view:
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| Area | Show only tasks belonging to a specific architecture area |
| Release | Show only tasks linked to a particular release |
| PI | Show only tasks linked to a specific Project Increment |
Select a value from any dropdown to apply that filter. Leave the dropdown blank to clear it.
This Week Toggle
Enabling the This Week toggle greys out tasks whose due date falls beyond the end of the current week. Tasks with no due date are unaffected.
This is useful when you want to focus on what needs to be done now without hiding upcoming work entirely.
Compact View
Toggle Compact in the toolbar to switch to a condensed card layout. In compact mode, the due date, tags, and dependency information are hidden to show more tasks on screen at once. The progress bar remains visible so you can still see completion at a glance.
Toggle it off to return to the full card view.
Reports
The toolbar includes two report buttons that generate shareable summaries of your tasks. Both produce rich text that pastes cleanly into Outlook, Teams, or email — useful for quick status updates to your manager or team.
Report
Click Report to open a snapshot of your current active tasks, organised into the same sections as the dashboard:
| Section | What appears here |
|---|---|
| My Current Focus | Your pinned tasks |
| Overdue | Tasks past their due date |
| Blocked | Tasks blocked by an incomplete dependency |
| In Progress | Tasks currently in progress |
| To Do | Tasks not yet started |
| Backlog | Tasks in the backlog |
Each task shows its reference number, name, and percentage complete. Where a task is blocked, the blocking tasks are listed beneath it. Where a task is blocking others, those are listed too.
Click the copy icon in the top-right of the popover to copy the report. Paste it directly into an email or document — it arrives as formatted text with headings and bullet points.
Only sections that contain tasks are included in the report. Empty sections are omitted automatically.
Past Week
Click Past Week to open a summary of what you worked on over the last 7 days. The report is fetched live when you open it and is headed with the exact date range, for example:
Past Week Summary — 21 Apr to 28 Apr 2026
It contains two sections:
| Section | What appears here |
|---|---|
| Completed | Tasks marked as Done and updated in the past 7 days |
| Updated | Tasks updated in the past 7 days that are not yet complete, with their current status shown in brackets |
Click the copy icon to copy the report as rich text, ready to paste into an email or chat message.
If nothing was updated in the past 7 days, the report will say so. The Past Week report only includes tasks assigned to you.
